STREET FAIR

The Grand Old 4th Street Fair features a lively mix of local shopping, community organizations, food vendors, artisan goods, activities, and entertainment throughout the T&C parking lot and Bjune Drive. Booths are open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The BECU Main Stage entertainment lineup takes place in the heart of the Street Fair beginning at 7:00 AM and continuing throughout the day, alongside the beloved BHS Football Boosters Pancake Breakfast.

FAMILY FUN ZONE

Presented by the Troy & Baden Biddle Foundation, the Family Fun Zone at Waterfront Park is packed with hands-on activities, games, crafts, and interactive fun for kids and families throughout the day. Explore community-led experiences, mini golf, a dunk tank, and FunHQ, an indoor activity zone by Bainbridge Events with support from the Bainbridge Island Sailing Club featuring bounce houses, movies, and more inside BIR, all from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

PARADE

The Grand Old 4th Parade kicks off at 1:00 PM and brings community spirit through downtown Winslow with festive floats, music, performances, nonprofits, and local groups. The parade begins at Wallace Way & Madison Avenue and travels south through downtown, ending at Winslow Way & Ericksen Avenue.

BEER GARDEN

The Grand Old 4th Beer Garden, brought to you by Bainbridge Brewing, Sisters' Cider House, and Eleven Winery, features local craft beer, cider, and wine in a relaxed outdoor gathering space adjacent to Bainbridge Island Rowing at Waterfront Park. The Beer Garden is open from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with food available from BIR’s deck as part of a rowing fundraiser supporting the organization.

CAR SHOW

Presented by Fieldstone, the Grand Old 4th Car Show features a showcase of classic cars, vintage favorites, and specialty vehicles from around the region. The Car Show takes place from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM north of Bjune Drive and west of Madison Avenue.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Parking throughout downtown Winslow is limited during the Grand Old 4th celebration, and several roads will be closed throughout the event footprint. Guests are strongly encouraged to carpool, walk, bike, or use the free event shuttle when possible.

    Free Shuttle Service

    A free shuttle will run between Ace Hardware and the T&C parking lot from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Shuttle service will pause from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM during the parade.

    Road Closures

    The following areas will be closed to vehicle traffic during portions of the event:

    • Madison Avenue to Bjune Drive

    • Bjune Drive & Brien Drive

    • Winslow Way between Madison Avenue & Ericksen Avenue

    • Wallace Way & Ericksen Avenue

    Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted event signage and volunteer directions throughout the day.

  • The Grand Old 4th aims to create a welcoming and accessible experience for all attendees. Most event areas are located throughout downtown Winslow and Waterfront Park on public streets, sidewalks, and paved pathways.

    Accessible parking throughout downtown will be limited during road closures, so guests are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for arrival. Shuttle service is available between Ace Hardware and the T&C parking lot from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a pause during the parade from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

    Accessible restrooms will be available throughout the event footprint. Event volunteers and staff will also be stationed throughout the festival to help answer questions and assist guests as needed.

  • Additional mobile restrooms can be found throughout the festival footprint, including locations near Winslow Way, the T&C parking lot, along the parade route, and throughout Waterfront Park. Exact restroom locations can be found on the Festival Map.

    Free refillable water bottle stations are located at:

    • Madison Avenue & Winslow Way

    • Bjune Drive & Winslow Way

    • In front of the Senior Center at Waterfront Park

  • Visiting Bainbridge Island for the Grand Old 4th? Passenger ferry service is available throughout the day between Downtown Seattle and Bainbridge Island via the Washington State Ferries Seattle/Bainbridge route. The ferry terminal is located just steps from the festival footprint in downtown Winslow, making it easy to explore the celebration on foot once you arrive.

    Guests traveling from off-island are encouraged to arrive early, plan ahead for holiday traffic and ferry wait times, and consider walking on whenever possible. Parking throughout downtown will be limited due to road closures and festival activity.
